With a family member visiting from London we knew we’d have to visit Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle to soak up the sunshine and atmosphere and show a Londoner an ‘Aussie Pub’! Once a Crocodile farm, Little Creatures Brewery opened many years ago and has created a much needed venue in the area which is trendy, fun and family friendly. There are two outdoor seating areas and seating inside the brewery. On the harbour side area there is a large sandpit play area with toys for children. We were lucky to grab the last outdoor table set against the harbour wall.
We oohed and aahed over the different menu options and staff were more than happy to help us with our choices too. I chose the Chilli Beef Nachos ($21) with Guacamole and Sour Cream. The nachos were hot and stacked high with toppings. It was an enormous serve of nachos which my companions happily helped me polish off.
My hubby ordered the Tomato, Boccocini and Basil Woodfired Pizza ($18). This meal actually arrived first, almost 10 minutes before our other meals arrived and there was no explanation given as to why this was. So my hubby had almost finished his meal before ours had arrived. This was disappointing especially as we’d bought an overseas visitor with us on this occasion – we’ve never had this experience before at Little Creatures though.
Our cousin ordered the Free Range Chicken Tenderloins in Chermoula spiced with Raita ($21). The chicken was juicy and tender and had a mild spice.
Little Creatures is a popular place to visit. Its atmosphere makes it an ideal location for catching up with friends for a few drinks and a bite to eat. I enjoy the people watching opportunities and really appreciate the large sand pit play area which keeps my son happily occupied.
